For example, you need to: be employed in the industry and have an employment agreement with your employer have a permanent residence permit for New Zealand, or have any other type of temporary work permit and a variation to the work permit, that authorises you to do a course of study or training in New Zealand, or be exempt from the requirement to have a permit - for example, if you: 1). are a UK citizen and have lived here permanently since 4 April 1974 2). are an Australian citizen 3). have been granted the right to live in Australia.
