Meet Grant Taylor - Facilitator
Waikato dairy farmer and Farming to Succeed facilitator, Grant Taylor, has a wide range of experience in the agricultural industry. His farming career started off working share milking for family at Kumeu (Auckland), town supply. He then purchased the first farm at Temple View, 72 ha where he farmed for 8 years.

At Gordonton, he purchased a very run down property of 100 ha which was farmed for 9 years developing and lifting production. Grant also owns a dairy farm at Balclutha milking 680 cows, is an investor in a 1100 Dairy & 325,000 Broiler chicken farm in Australia and an 1100 cow farm in Northland.

Grant has extensive experience in trading livestock, supplements, and real estate assets.  He has been awarded the Agriculture ITO most supportive farmer trainer award for the Waikato region and was a participant Kellogg Rural Leadership programme.

Grant knows it can be hard to be hard for young people in the industry when there's so much commentary out there about how difficult it is to progress in farming because of the large capital cost involved. The biggest buzz for Grant is seeing the dramatic change in the participants' outlook over the week of Farming to Succeed.
